You may find it a bit confusing at first but you will eventually understand how it works. Sometimes, in your attempt to collect all the Pokemon emulators, there are some menus of the game that are exasperating to search because of the fact that you have to trade two different games. However the entire system is absolutely well done.

Emulator for GBA - PocketNES
PocketNES is a NES roms emulator for Gameboy Advance. In other words,
it lets you emulate - that is play Nintendo 8-bit games on a Gameboy
Advance and the new GBA SP. PocketNES is written by loopy and flubba.
It started out as an assembler port of loopynes emulator for DOS
but has seen many chanes since then.
PocketNES does emulate NES games on the GBA in full speed, as incredible
as it sounds.
Noth that it would be neccessary but it can actually
do quite a few games at twice the normal speed in accelerated mode.
You will not play the games at 2x the speed but it is still nice
to know that if you wanted you could.
 How
to use PocketNES GBA emu
If you like doing double backflips (just a joke) you can play the
NES games in the emulator on a PC using GBA emulator (VisualBoy Advance).
I wouldn't suggest it because PocketNES was made to be runs on
a Gameboy Advance from a gba
flash card it will not work in the GBA emulator exactly how
it world on the Gameboy. The most noticeable difference is that
game screen may be shaking - note that this does NOT happen
on GBA! Also you are unable to Link 2 players for multiplayer games
like you can if using the emu on the hardware that it was designed
for. So to play it the right way you need one of flash
cartridges.
There
are some more things
different from a regular PC based emulator. Most importantly,
you don't keep the .nes roms separately, but they
have to be archived / compressed
in the
same
.gba-file
with the PocketNES emulator.
The basic idea is:
PocketNES
with all the NES game roms you want to play will be put into one .gba rom file.

How to get PocketNES Advance to work, the quick and easy way
- Download PocketNES Menu Maker from the downloads section.
- Put all the files from the zip in the same directory with the
nes roms you want to use and the pocketnes.gba
- Double-click the pnesmmw.exe and
click the [Make Rom] button.
- You should now get a PocketNESMenu.gba in
that directory.
- Flash this to your Flash
Advance card and
play! If the flash program says that the size is incorrect, just
say OK, it will
work anyway.
- Fully compatible with Gameboy Advance, GBA SP, GAMEBOY micro and the new Nintendo DS video game console.
